Hey there, everyone. It has been a while since I’ve recorded a new podcast basically, after celebrating those amazing 200 episodes. And going through that challenge that we had that contest that we had, I felt that I need to just take a little break, take a little pause from the podcast, I wasn’t feeling overly inspired or aligned with recording anything. And I certainly don’t want to be putting anything out there in your earbuds because I so appreciate your time, I so appreciate you listening, that was going to be subpar. That was just to again, check a little box off of my to do list. That’s not how I like to run my business.
But what we have been leaning into this past couple of weeks is branding, and messaging and helping you really lean into simplifying your business and structuring your business properly, while really leveling up the impact that you can provide to every patient or client. And that’s another huge reason why I kind of took a step back from the online side from the maximize business side and went full into the clinic side. So, we just opened up our third clinic location with our third team member, we are training a new team member to take over while Dr. Jackie is on maternity leave. So there’s just been so much excitement, so much changed so much growth on the clinic side. And the biggest thing that’s transformed for us in the past six months is really leaning into our gap protocol as our high-end comprehensive protocol that we are positioning ourselves in the industry that we are staking our niche through the industry. And so, I did a Facebook group to kind of warm up to this masterclass that we did. And hopefully you got a chance to attend it for all of my maximised practitioner members, the replays automatically going into the course. So, you will have a chance to review it anytime you want to. And we hosted a Facebook group to really warm people up to really get people excited for all things branding. And I did this really fantastic live. And so, I wanted to share that live with you. Because even if the moment has passed, and you missed it, the information we were talking about was so good. So I’m going to share that with you. And hopefully this gets your head leaning into that direction. Because I know you’ve been sitting on a program, I know you’re already basically running things as a protocol, whether you’ve put it down on paper or not. And I know there’s a lot of fear and hesitation about putting that out there. And that’s exactly what we talked about on this live. So, I’m going to share that with you momentarily. I hope you enjoy. I want to start getting that momentum going now. I want to start unraveling where the blockers are. I want to start breaking down the perceived limitations that you have to why running your business is so hella hard, right?
I’ve really been listening and tapping into what I’m seeing a lot of practitioners struggle with. And even following a lot of you on social media, I can see why your efforts are not paying off. This idea literally kind of came to me just a couple of weeks ago. And I said, this is what our community needs, because the practitioners that are doing really well are the ones that are already doing this. And if you are still struggling, if you’re still finding marketing difficult if you are still showing up to your business every single day, and just hoping and praying that this will be a good day that this will be a good week that this will be a good month, we need to start eliminating all of that anxiety and tension and perhaps resentment towards the profession, towards being a business owner, when that wasn’t what you signed up for. And that’s what I really want to talk about with you guys today. But here are probably the top three problems that I am seeing people in the health and wellness industry consistently doing. And we’re going to prevent this from being you from this day forward. Because you may not even realize that how you are approaching your business is why you feel like you’re just pushing a boulder up the hill. It may be why you think you are taking the right actions; you are keeping yourself busy. In fact, your to do list is getting longer and longer and longer. But you’re not seeing the benefit of the effort that you’re putting in the top three mistakes that I’m seeing practitioners make. When it comes to marketing when it when it comes to showing up when it comes to running their business. And I have four graduates like relatively new grads within the first three years of their business that are working for me. And I’m also hearing it coming from them. I’m seeing it as I’m training them with our systems and our protocol and onboarding them into the gap protocol that we have. And the questions that they have in the you know, the skills that they don’t have are something that I’m like, Man, I’m just so grateful that I get to show you I get to mentor you, I get to break down a lot of these mistakes that practitioners will go on to make day in and day out, month in, month out year in and you’re out. So the number one issue that I’m probably seeing the most is how we are showing up on social media. A lot of this comes from fear of how we can show up fear of being reprimanded if we are too outspoken, are too polarizing, are we able to show off our successes and being afraid to show people what it is that you can actually do. So, I’m seeing you guys posting on social media. Every single day I’m seeing you come up in my feed. But I know that you’re probably not even getting anywhere close to like five likes 10 likes, 20 likes on the majority of the posts that you put up there.
I also know that when you are posting, you are approaching social media with resistance. And when we approach anything with resistance, it’s usually never going to work out. And that’s an energetic conversation we can have. But what we tend to do is we say I put on my to do list my commitment to my business and to showing up on social media was I was going to post every day. And so frantically, we come up with just random generic posts, a lot of value posts and what a value post is, is kind of like an infographic post like the top three foods to support hypothyroid or the top 10 ways to boost your metabolism. But here’s what happens when we show up to social media with value posts is its shareable content, it’s perhaps likeable content, but it doesn’t engage or influence people to drop in your DMS. So, you’re most likely posting value content two, three times a week. And you no one is commenting. No one is coming out from that post and dm-ing you and saying how can I work with you? And the problem is in this industry, you are you are blending in you are saying a lot of the same things that everybody else in the industry is doing and that’s why it’s a value post. It is not A branded post. And we’ll talk about all of that.
And then finally, when someone actually books in with you, with whatever way they came into being in your office, you’re still approaching every single new patient experience like, God, I hope that it works out God, I hope that we’re the right fit for what am I going to talk about for the next 60 minutes with this person? Am I going to be able to sell them a lab Am I going to be able to put them on a supplement protocol that I want, who will they buy in? Do I have to be worried about their budget, and you’re coming into every single new patient experience with a lot of anxiety with a lot of worry, and you’re doing this every single time, which then is going to make your day up here, it’s going to make your week up here, it’s going to make your month where you’re living up here because you’re not comfortable because nothing is simplified, nothing is systemized you’re literally on the fly piecemealing it with every single patient. And most likely what’s happening are those patients are dropping off after the second or third visit. Because I know retention of patients is difficult. For so many of you, I know that you are maybe getting 50% of your new patients making it to the second visit, and then maybe 20%, to the third visit. And then, you know perhaps that’s all that you’re seeing is you can get people in for the first, the second is tough, the third is really tough. And then you’re wondering why you’re constantly having to find new patients to come into your office, what we’re really going to be talking about together to how to stop you from coming into your business with this frantic energy with this hopeful energy with this. I’m doing all the things that I was taught to do, why isn’t this working. And that’s why popping that practitioner bubble has kind of been the theme. Because that’s exactly where we’re all living. And when you live in a bubble, there’s innately walls that are put up, there are innately pressure points that you’re going to try to push out of the balloon, and it’s going to bounce right back on you. And there’s a finite amount of space. And that was exactly what the school created for us when we were students. That’s exactly what the school created for us. When we were in our graduation lab. That was exactly what the school mandated to us to pass our licensing exam is to keep us safe inside this bubble. And then of course, our regulatory board, scares us scares the Jesus out of us. And we’re too afraid to show up. We’re too afraid to create a protocol we’re too afraid to ask for a financial transaction for our knowledge and our expertise, because we have been suppressed. And that’s how we feel coming into this. And if that’s resonating with anyone, I would love to hear a yes. Sounds like me, what aspect of the three things that I described Are you one you are showing up and you know, you’re posting every single day, but you’re not even getting 20 likes, one, two, is you’re posting probably value posts, just infographic type posts two to three times a week, and no one is popping into your DMS or commenting like how we can work together. And three, you are showing up to every single new patient without any sort of system without any sort of process. And you’re just hoping and praying that you know, the relationship is going to work out. So, I’d love to see. And of course, if you’re watching the replay, you know, post your number below.
That’s why I know if you’re doing even one of those things, I know that you do not have a branded protocol in your business. I know that you do not have the systems in place to make your business grow effortlessly to make showing up to your business feel welcoming instead of resisting. And it’s also because I know you don’t have that ecosystem to which your marketing will shine. And probably the most valuable thing that a branded protocol will offer you is you command your niche is you command your messaging and you command your marketing space. Having a branded protocol that you leverage everything off of that you talk about every single time you post that you make all of your content funnel back into that one branded protocol is what is going to innately make sure showing up on social media easier because you know exactly what streams of content flow directly into your protocol. And those are the only streams of content you’re going to talk about. It’s going to make people engage with you, because now you’re showing up with a methodology, a protocol, a system, a method that no one has ever heard of before. And it’s going to pique their interest. And finally, because now this this protocol is what you’re putting in front of every single patient, and I’ll show you how we use ours, it’s going to make you showing up to every single patient being like this is the Cadillac of what I have to offer you. We don’t have to do the whole thing. And you can approach it either way. It’s, it could be binary, yes, you opt in for the whole thing or not, we have more of a gray approach. So, we have the Cadillac gap protocol, but we can peace out the gap, the guts, the adrenal, the thyroid, the maximum mentals, we can piece out all of those things to suit your needs. So, you don’t have to make the full commitment. But I’m always going to show you the full commitment, I’m always going to show you what we have to offer you. And then we break it down with every single person.
It just makes business so much easier. So, Katherine says she’s a three, whoever else is watching live, post one, two, or three, which one you are, again, if you’re watching the replay post that below. But what I really wanted to make sure that we accomplished together over the next week, certainly on our master class, which again, is on Tuesday, next Tuesday, is I want to not show everything because that would take forever. But I wanted to show you the main way, the number one way that you can create a branded protocol that you can create your messaging ecosystem, from that branded protocol, no need to create or complete an ideal customer avatar PDF any longer. We’ll talk about that, how we are our struggling avatar, we are the future paste hero, and you just kind of work internally and bring that outwards, because that’s also going to make you relatable, that’s also going to make people lean into you and really connect with you. But I really wanted to show you how a branded protocol is literally the fastest and the best way to leverage time freedom to leverage your messaging ecosystem and a.k.a, create your own niche without niching down to a particular person or ailment or whatever. And it’s what your entire practice can now be leveraged off of, because everything kind of funnels back into the same place while still providing individuality while still providing you flexibility with each person without pigeon-holing anybody. That’s what I’ve loved about our gap protocol is it’s been so inclusive. But it’s also made. Like every team member that I onboard, I teach them the process, and they’re good to go after like a week of learning it. We had one. We our newest team member who opened our third clinic in the downtown Burlington location. He had a fully booked day, all new patients. And he ‘freakin had a 2k day, his very first day working with us, because of the gap protocol system, because it made him show up to every single new patient that he had with confidence with transparency, without feeling like he was selling people on anything. And in return those new patients bought in and they picked and chose what they felt comfortable with. But it wasn’t in this like, Oh, this doctor just like made this up. You know, just while we were talking to hopefully upsell me on something, it wasn’t that and he had his most profitable day that he’s ever had in practice working for us on his very first day. So, I know that this works. I know that it’s something that you can implement. And that’s exactly why we are here working together. But I’m hoping that you guys now heard me, heard why this is so important to me. And you’re like damn, I am so in the right place. That’s exactly what I’m looking for. Because we’re going to break down a lot of these things that you are doing and make it work for you make it work for your business.
